Dublin: Day 1

Me and my friend decided to book a very spontaneous trip to Ireland! We booked it 1 week before, we went... So you can imagine I was very disorganised, and I packed the night before, which is very unlike me. Usually I have got all my things I want to take away with me packed away, so I have limited clothes choices in the mean time.

We only went for 3 days, but it was amazing. Totally recommend you going to Ireland, all the people are lovely, so helpful and Dublin is one gorgeous city. So I thought I would share some pictures and talk you through our days in Dublin.

On Sunday the 7th of August at 3:30am I was up and awake getting ready to leave the house at 4am to get to Birmingham airport to fly to Dublin! I really am not a morning person, but it's completely different when you are going away somewhere. I can scramble my way out of bed and put myself together. Our flight was at 8:10am. So we arrived at the airport at around 6:00am. Ready to check in, go through security and grab some food... Yes, it was 6:50 and I was in Burger King... (don't hate) haha. Makes me feel a bit sick thinking about that now.

After probably the worst flight of my life (not even joking) it was the worst 50 minutes ever. Normally I'm not too bad flying, I don't love it but I don't hate it. I'm just like, well if you wanna get places, you've gotta get on a plane and do it! But this flight, made me think 'do I wanna come home' haha. It was just so windy, and the plane was very shaky and just horrible. However, we landed, safe and sound. But I was shattered. We got a bus to the hotel, put our luggage in the luggage room and headed out to Dublin. In Dublin we were both craving a roast dinner, as it was Sunday. We went to a few pubs before finding one that actually served Sunday lunch. It was the weirdest place ever, but the food was lush.

After that we just looked round Dublin, decided what we wanted to discover whilst we were there (eg; which museums, found information about, times, blah blah blah). Then got the bus back, and checked into the hotel.

Later that evening, we decided to make some effort after wearing no makeup all day, leggings and my hair up. So we went into the bar, grabbed some drinks (FOOD AND DRINKS IN IRELAND IS EXPENSIVE) just a warning, I love a vodka lemon and lime, but I only had one because it was very expensive, compared to the UK anyway. The restaurant was very busy in the hotel, so not much food was on offer, so I went over the road to a fast food place, and got some cheesy chips. Yeah, it was a bad food day with the burger king for breakfast and those cheesy chips for dinner haha.

But I was happy when it was bed time, and I slept like a baby. Come back tomorrow, to hear about what we got up too on day two!!

Beauty Bay Haul

This is the first time that I have ordered off Beauty Bay. However, I know my boyfriend has ordered some presents for me from there, because I may of hinted quite a bit, haha. I ordered the products yesterday evening, and they arrived today! I'm not sure what time they came today, as I was out, but I came home at 4:30, and there was a little package waiting for me! How exciting.

The reason why this purchase happened was because, there was a few different products which I have been wanting for a while, and I really wanted some more new shinny makeup brushes, so I went to Beauty Bay because they stock Morphe. There are quite a lot of products here because, you had to spend £60 to get next day delivery and a free gift. So it seemed right to do this because, there are brands on there which the UK just don't stock and aren't easy to get (that I know of - let me know if different). I haven't tried any of these products, literally just some swatches on my hand, so I can't give a very good review on them, but these are the products I purchased from Beauty Bay.

I have wanted the Louise Young LY34 brush for ages, it just looks so gorgeous and looks like it blends foundation is so quick, because it is huge! I normally use the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge to blend my foundation in and I used to use the Real Techniques buffing brush before that. So I am excited to try this brush!

This concealer I always see Carli Bybel use and it always looks amazing on her. She uses the concealer as her nose contour. I got one colour for contour and then one for my under eye highlight. I got the shade 'fawn' for my contour, which seems like a really good colour for me. I didn't want it too dark, Carli is a lot more tanned than me, so I tried to just go a few shades lighter than her. The shade I got in the concealer for under my eyes, is porcelain. However, I think this shade is gunna be way to light for me and its quite pink toned. I wish I went for a shade up. But because I can't swatch them, because it's online, that can't really be helped *sad face*.

I got the Vita Liberata Self tanning gradual lotion as my free gift for spending over £60. Which I think is really cool, its a good size for travelling too (50ml). You get to chose what gift you get too.

The pigmentation of these eyeshadows is amazing, so pretty and sparkly!

August Favourites 2016

August has been a whirlwind of a month, it just has flown by, I've done so much and it just has been the best! I started off the month with a spontaneous trip to Dublin, Ireland (I promise I am working on some posts - they will be here in the next few weeks)! I have had a weekend in Bath, had my hair all cut off and styled and I just ended the month with a nightout with all my friends for the August Bank Holiday!! Anyway, thats why I haven't been posting on here too much, *slap wrists* sorry guys.

BASE: FOUNDATION
I have quite a few makeup products in this months favourites, and quite a few base products well 4, is that a lot? I guess so for one months favourites. Its been quite hot on and off for the July and August in the UK. When I say hot, that horrible sticky, sweaty hot when all you want to do is pray that the sky bursts with rain. Anyway, I have been mixing two foundation products together, one to be Estee Lauder BB Cream and the other to be my much raved about foundation Chanel Vitalumia Aqua Foundation. Both are light/medium coverages, but I just find mixed together gives a gorgeous coverage and dewy base. It's just what I have been reaching for this whole month. I do like to switch up my foundations depending on the colour of my skin, hense why most months there is a foundation in the monthly favourites. Basically I love these foundations, and together they are very expensive, but I would say if I had to pick one, my favourite would be the Chanel Vitalumia Aqua Foundation, its just gorgeous, feels so lightweight but has such buildable coverage, I don't think you could go overboard with this one.

BASE: CONTOUR
I have then been trying to find my cheekbones with the Clinique Chubby Contour Stick I got this product back in April, and I did like it, but I just thought it was one of those products I wouldn't use much. However, I have been loving cream bronzer/contour this month in particular. It looks so scary in the stick, but it blends like a dream... seriously. Also, it doesn't give anything too dramatic, it looks very natural and is a lovely colour.

BASE: CONCEALER
The concealer I have been loving this month is an oldie, well it's not too old, but it's one I have never really stopped loving, its just one I forget about and I don't really rave about enough. The Maybelline Anti-Age Eye Eraser, I just absolutely love this, you twist it from the bottom and then product comes out from the top of the sponge. It makes the skin so flawless, I use it under my eyes and a little bit on my forehead and chin.

Bondi Sands Dark Tan Moose
I go in stages with tanning, some times I just cannot be bothered and I embrace my paleness, and other times I just want to be a confident bronze goddess. This month was the later. My favourite all time tan was the St. Tropez Express Tan, WAS. I think that I prefer the Bondi Sands one more, for a few reasons, mainly the colour is super natural, it is more of an olive tan than an orange one. Even though I love the way I apply the St. Tropez and I do like the colour and I have done a whole blogpost dedicated to it, so click here to read! Bondi is just much more natural and I do like the smell. It's easy to apply and I think its a fall proof tan, if you are new to tanning or are just a tan junky, try this!

Soap and Glory Exfoliating Gloves
Basically I have discovered these because of the previous paragraph. When you tan, you need to exfoliate because you need a clean smooth surface for the tan to be applied. So I picked these gloves up from Boots and they are so easy to use. I just put them on both of my hands and squeeze some shower gel in them and rub them over my body to exfoliate.

Chanel Coco Mademosielle Shower Gel
This is probably the most expensive shower gel I am ever going to talk about. Retailing at £34, it is ridiculous, but such a luxury. Its great for someone who loves Chanel fragrance, and especially the popular Chanel Mademoiselle. Chanel Mademoiselle is just my signature scent, I love it. Whenever I smell it I just get reminded of so many beautiful memories. It really is gorgeous, it is a slightly floral, but very feminine scent. Anyway the shower gel, oh my... I love it! I only use this in the morning and only a tiny little bit, for obvious reasons. But its great for layering the scent, so the fragrance lasts longer. I would keep this in mind for Christmas, if someone likes Chanel fragrances, and you don't want to spend too much on them, or you always get them the fragrance and you want an alternative.

Zoella Girl Online Book
This book was bought for me last Christmas, and its just been sat on my bedroom table, waiting to get read... and this month was the month! I haven't read a novel for quite a long time, and I really enjoyed just having such a page turner again. Its really got me into reading, I just missed the way a book can make your imagination run wild! I don't want to send any spoilers out, but its about a girl Penny, who has a blog called 'Girl Online' and she seems to be struggling with being a teenage girl, and ends up going to New York through the family business and in New York actually meets the love of her life... Noah. But Noah has a secret, which could break them?! I literally cannot wait to go to Waterstones and purchase the next Girl Online... ON TOUR!

Weekend In Bath: Mums Birthday

On the 22nd of August, it was my mums birthday, so we (my mum, my dad and me) all decided to take a trip to Bath, as it's always been a city in which we wanted to visit. We always go to Bristol, but just have never made the trip to Bath. Until now...

I had a really amazing time, explored the Roman Baths, went for meals, shopping, saw the Royal Crescent and went into Number 1 Royal Crescent. It was just a really enjoyable few days, and I would totally go back! I've just got a few pictures in which I thought I would share...

Seriously didn't realise how many pictures I had, but I hope you enjoyed looking at those. if you even got to read this... Hope you didn't get too bored!
