St Tropez Express Tan: Review

I have tried a lot of fake tans in my life, and I discovered this one in May, it was mentioned in my May Favourites. Lots of my friends, family and the internet world have been raving about this tan for ages. So I finally took the plunge and bought it. It is a bit pricey for a fake tan, retailing at £33. However, St. Tropez is a very good and well known brand. You get 200ml for £33, and this will last me a long time! I get the moose, but I think it comes in a lotion as well.

The reason I love this tan, is because you don't have to sleep in it. I hate sleeping in fake tan, getting sticky and making all the white sheets, orange!

Application:

You apply a guide colour, and then leave it on for 1, 2 or 3 hours. Depending on the desired colour you want. I just a tanning mitt to apply.

1 hour - will give you a light tan, you might want this if you have just come back off holiday and your tan is fading a little bit. 1 hour gives a light, natural tan, great if you aren't used to wearing tan.

2 hours - medium tan. Which is the one I go for (maybe 2 and a half hours). But this gives a gorgeous golden colour, lasts at least a week.

3 hours - dark tan. I have never done the full 3 hours, but just under and 2 and a half. But if you love a deep tan, then leave the guide colour on for 3 hours.

Once your desired time is up, you wash off the guide colour. When the guide colour is washed off, you will have a light colour and your tan then activates and develops into either (light, medium, dark) over 8 hours.

The main reason that I love this tan is because there is no fuss, you don't have to sleep in the tan and at the end of the day you can be tanned within 1 hour! Fabulous!

MAC Lipstick Collection & Swatches

This has been a post I've wanted to write for ages, just because I love MAC, their lipsticks are amazing, theres literally ever colour you could think of, the formulas are lovely, they are all pretty moisturising even the matte finishes.

However, when I was younger and I wanted to try some MAC lipsticks, I didn't know where to start because of all the reasons I just mentioned (too much choice)! So I used to read and watch videos on all the colours, finishes and I was just generally nosy because I wanted to see what colours people had. To be honest I still do love reading and watching people ramble on about their MAC lipsticks.

To a lot of you this might be so many lipsticks, and you will be like "how has she spent all that money on them!?" but to the other half of you, you probably are thinking thats not many... I do currently have 11 lipsticks. Which to me, doesn't seem too many.

My favourite finishes are the matte finishes and the amplified ones. I find the colour pay off amazing, the formula lasts a long time and they aren't drying on the lips. So lets get on with this, and get straight into the matte finishes.

Honey Love - This is a gorgeous nude shade, its got quite a peachy undertone. I just think this one suits my skin tone nicely, and is just a lovely formula (like I've said a million times).

Mehr - I got this shade when I was on holiday, so it reminds me of the holiday. Even though I would say its more of a winter shade. But its such a lovely colour for everyday, Mehr is probably my favourite MAC shade. It's pinky, berry and gorgeous.

Whirl - This is a very recent purchase from my boyfriend. I have only worn it once, but I know it will defiantly be a firm favourite of mine. It's a very browny nude, and I absolutely love that vibe at the moment. I really like this colour!

Ruby Woo - This one is a classic MAC shade, a lot of people have it, however I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on this one. Personally its lovely, a very true bright red. I always reach for it, when I'm going out or for a meal and I need my lipstick to stay on. A few people say it is drying on the lips, and I do agree a little bit, because its probably the most drying lipstick formula, because it's a retro matte, which means its more matte than matte.... hmm, yeah you still with me? haha. I think you would love this one if you do like matte lipsticks.

Now onto the amplified formulas, like I said earlier this is my other favourite formula because the colour pigmentation is amazing and they are moisturising.

Impassioned - A very bright, pink with a coral undertone, thats the best way for me to describe it. I actually got this as a present for Christmas off my parents click here to see the blogpost. But I think I will love this shade in the summer and get a lot of wear out of it.

Up the Amp - One of my more daring lipsticks, it's a purple. I got this when it was cool to have purple lips, but I found that they really don't suit me. I got this one with another purple colour at the time, wait until you see that one... But I wouldn't  really recommend this one, because I'm just not a fan, I don't get much use out of it at all.

Violetta - This was the lipstick I was talking about. I really don't like this one, I never wear it. Its just a purple thats quite bright and scary. I would only wear this if I needed it for halloween or something. I think its got a lovely finish thought, its got a shinny shimmery finish, like its got glitter in it.

Blankety - OOO, I love this one. It's very similar to honey love, but its very creamy and not matte. I really like this one when I wear it, it's a very true nude shade. I get quite a lot of comments asking what lipstick it is, when I wear this one too.

Cremesheen finishes, I'm not really a fan of, I just find they don't stay on my lips very well, even though I do only have two colours in this finish. I think that shows you that I don't like them much.

Speed dial - Officially my first ever MAC lipstick purchase, I do really like the colour and thats why I got it. I remember seeing it in MAC when I was with my boyfriend, then I was like 'no I'm not getting it' then went back in, then said no, then finally went back it and finally got it, haha. But its a really nice pink shade, I probably should wear it a bit more.

Peach Blossom - I love this shade, my friend has been going on and on about it for months. So I finally picked it up. It's amazing for every day, goes with every eye look and just is stunning. As the name would suggest it's a peachy/coral shade, with a slight sparkle.

I've got one lustre finish, I do quite like lustres because they are quite sheer, but they just make your lips look fuller and plump.

Patisserie - I absolutely love this lipstick, its my most worn colour. I just think its gorgeous for every day. Its nude with a little bit of pink and I think it suits me really well. LOVE IT.

I hope this was helpful for you, please don't think I'm bragging, I'm not. I just wanted to create a post with my collection.

What's your favourite MAC shade?

Some Special Days Away

Me and my boyfriend, have been together 3 years on the 29th of May, so we decided to take the week off work and go somewhere and spend some quality time together. Obviously in this day and age it is hard to find time to spend together. So every month we do go for a meal or the cinema or do something special, even if its pizza takeout and netflix, it's our time together. So we decided to book a few days away, in a city near where we live.

Whilst we were away, we did a lot of shopping and ate a lot of food. We went to places such as; Bills for breakfast, Yo Sushi, Nandos, Wagamamas, ordered a Papa Johns and Krispy Kreme! I am now sat on my bed, not wanting to eat a single thing!

On the morning of our anniversary Kirk got flowers delivered to the room, which really did surprise me! I wasn't expecting it at all. I love receiving flowers, I think they are super pretty and so thoughtful.

We also went to the beach, on the day of the 3 years. We visited Barry Island, which is where the TV show, Gavin & Stacey is filmed. I love Barry Island, so much to do and we were blessed with gorgeous weather! Fish and chips went down nicely on the beach!

We were a little bit naughty too, we went to a bar one night too, ordered some cocktails and got a little bit merry. Who says you can't have a little bit of fun whilst you are away?

I don't often do posts like this, but I needed to share this because it was the most amazing weekend. The 29th of May this year was the best day I've had so far this year! (Bold claim, but it's so true). Amazing weather, company, food and just a fabulous time!

May Favourites 2016

Just like every month this year, its flown past and has been amazing! The highlight of the month was definitely the last week, me and my boyfriend just chilled in a city near us, Cardiff. Went shopping, a few hauls will be on here as a post, soon!! But it was amazing, and I had a lovely time just chilling out. However, obviously I am going to share some things which I have discovered this month and/or I have just plain and simple just fallen in love with!!

Coconut nail polishes Barry M - I can't remember if I got these at the end of last month or this month. But I really like them, you don't need a base coat and then are supposed to have coconut oils and good things in to protect your nails. Which is amazing for me, because my nails are so awful. They have gorgeous shades too, I have one pink called alhoa and a nude one called tiki hut. Gorgeous colours for summer!

Clinique Anti-Blemish Gel - Yet again my skin has been playing up. I seem to say this every month now, I don't know what is happening! But I don't like it. I really like Clinique as a brand, I think they are just very good at getting results. They are fragranced free and just very dermatologic, this Anti-Blemish Gel is very good too, you just apply it to the areas you need or all over your face and it basically helps to get rid of any spots and blemishes.

Rimmel White Eyeliner - I think I go through phases with wearing white eyeliner in my waterline. Last July I wrote a post, and included them http://goo.gl/32gizt. But I have been wearing white eyeliner in my waterline pretty much everyday this month. It brightens the eyes  and also makes you look like you've had lots of sleep, plus it does make them appear larger.

No7 Stay Perfect Foundation - I have been wearing this as my everyday foundation this month. But I have been coming out of it at the end of the month, because it is a very pale shade and I am pale naturally but I have been loving a fake tan too - you wait and see! The foundation is a demi-matte finish, so its not really dewy but its not a flat matte, it gives a medium coverage but you can build it up. I have the shade 'calico' which is the lightest shade. But I do really rate No7, especially as they can colour match you and find the right foundation for you.

NYX Soft Matte Lip - Cannes - I have been wearing this lipstick every day this month, its amazing. Its not nude but its not too bright. It's prefect for in the day, and it just gorgeous. It's matte and very long lasting. It reminds me of a 'your lips but better' shade, oh dear I went there. I want some more colours of these, I can't wait to check a NYX stand out (available online and at Boots). I ordered this one online, but it's hard to see the colours, so I did go on a bit of a whim with this shade.

St. Tropez Tan - Everyone I know has literally been raving about this tan for ageeees! So this month I actually picked one up, and I have fallen in love. It's the best tan I have ever used, seriously amazing. You apply the guide colour and you can either leave it on for 1 hour (light) 2 hours (medium) or 3 hours (dark). I have been doing about 2 and a half hours. It gives a gorgeous colour, and wears really lovely, it doesn't do that patchy thing where it just comes off some places and not others. Also, no need to sleep in the tan and get it all over your white sheets - amazing!

My favourite, favourite of the month, that I briefly mentioned at the start... Me and my boyfriend, went away to Cardiff for the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. We had been together for 3 years, so we wanted to do something special. We just went shopping, had cocktails, chilled, went to the beach and ate out a lot!!! I would say the day we went to the beach, was my favourite day of the year so far!
